The short version: NOTIO collects only the data needed to run the platform. We don't sell your information to anyone. Your client data belongs to you.

NOTIO ("we", "us", or "our") is a photography business management platform operated by NOTIO Platform. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, disclose, and safeguard information when you use our website at notio.in and our web and mobile applications (collectively, the "Service").

By accessing or using the Service, you agree to the terms of this Privacy Policy. If you disagree with any part, please discontinue use of our Service.

  • Business name, studio name, and location details
  • Profile photo (optional)
  • Subscription plan and billing information (processed via secure third-party payment providers)

Business & Operational Data

  • Booking details, shoot dates, and calendar entries you create
  • Client names, contact details, and event information you enter
  • Invoices, payment records, and financial data you generate
  • Gallery links and photo delivery records
  • Team member details and freelancer assignments

Technical & Usage Data

  • Pages visited, features used, and time spent on the platform
  • Error logs and crash reports to improve stability
  • General geographic location (country/city level, not GPS)

03How We Use Your Data

We use the information we collect for the following purposes:

  • To create and manage your NOTIO account and provide the Service
  • To process bookings, generate invoices, and facilitate client deliveries
  • To enable freelancer discovery and team management features
  • To send transactional emails (booking confirmations, payment receipts, etc.)
  • To send service updates, security alerts, and support messages
  • To improve the platform through aggregated, anonymised analytics
  • To detect and prevent fraud, abuse, and security incidents
  • To comply with legal obligations under Indian law

We will never use your client data for advertising, sell it to third parties, or share it in identifiable form without your explicit consent.

04Sharing of Data

We do not sell, trade, or rent your personal information. We may share data only in the following limited circumstances:

  • Service Providers: Trusted third-party vendors who assist in operating the platform (e.g., cloud hosting, payment processing, email delivery) under strict data processing agreements.
  • Freelancer Network: When you opt into the NOTIO freelancer search, your name, city, and listed skills are visible to other verified NOTIO users. You control this visibility in your settings.
  • Legal Requirements: If required by law, court order, or governmental authority under applicable Indian law (IT Act 2000 and rules thereunder).
  • Business Transfer: In the event of a merger, acquisition, or sale of assets, your data may transfer to the successor entity, with notice provided to you.

05Data Storage & Security

Your data is stored on secure servers hosted in India. We implement industry-standard security measures including:

  • TLS/SSL encryption for all data in transit
  • AES-256 encryption for sensitive data at rest
  • Role-based access controls limiting internal data access
  • Regular security audits and vulnerability assessments
  • Automated backups with point-in-time recovery

While we take every reasonable precaution, no method of transmission over the internet is 100% secure. We encourage you to use a strong, unique password for your NOTIO account.

We retain your data for as long as your account is active, or as needed to provide the Service. Upon account deletion, we purge personal data within 30 days, except where retention is required by law.

We use cookies and similar tracking technologies to operate and improve our Service:

  • Essential Cookies: Required for authentication, session management, and core platform functionality. Cannot be disabled.

The NOTIO platform is intended solely for use by adults aged 18 and above. We do not knowingly collect personal information from anyone under the age of 18. If you believe a minor has provided us with personal information, please contact us immediately and we will take steps to delete such information promptly.

09Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy periodically to reflect changes in our practices, technology, or legal requirements. When we make material changes, we will:

  • Update the "Last Updated" date at the top of this page
  • Send an email notification to registered users
  • Display a notice within the NOTIO platform for 30 days after the change

Your continued use of the Service after any changes constitutes your acceptance of the updated Policy.
